Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic Metal Furnace Operators to join our skilled production team. You will be responsible for managing the melting process, ensuring furnace temperatures are maintained while collaborating closely with team members to optimise production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain metal furnaces and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the workplace.
• Adjust equipment controls to regulate furnace operations effectively.
• Document production and quality control metrics.
• Assist in training new operators and support staff.
• Conduct quality checks on molten metal and final cast products.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement corrective actions to address production deficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience with different types of metal melting furnaces and related equipment is desirable.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of metal alloys and their properties

Soft Skills

• Safety awareness

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with quality control processes: Familiarity with techniques to maintain metal quality.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives: Proven track record in suggesting and implementing improvements.
