Job Description

As an Airfield Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights. This includes managing flight plans, maintaining accurate records, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and poise.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate flight operations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor aircraft movements and manage gate assignments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of flight information.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and updates regarding flight statuses.
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for operational processes.
  • Collaborate with ground services to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare reports on flight operation incidents and outcomes.
  • Enhance customer experience by maintaining high service standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation or a related field
  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in flight coordination roles.
Technical Skills
  • Aircraft tracking systems (e.g. FlightAware, FlightRadar24)
  • Weather forecasting tools (e.g. WSI, MeteoGroup)
Soft Skills

Certifications
  • Airside Safety Training Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Emergency response training: Certification in emergency management or incident response is advantageous.
  • Experience with aircraft dispatch: Knowledge of dispatch procedures and methodologies beneficial.
