We are seeking a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our Brisbane team. The ideal candidate will evaluate insurance applications and assess risk to provide accurate and competitive quotes. This role requires attention to detail and a deep understanding of insurance policies.

Responsibilities

• Undertake risk analysis and assessment of insurance submissions.
• Negotiate terms with clients to secure profitable underwriting deals.
• Monitor and manage the performance of existing policies.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and underwriting standards.
• Engage in continuous learning about emerging risks and insurance products.
• Support the claims department with underwriting insights.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance
• Professional certifications in underwriting are a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

• Insurance Regulations
• Underwriting Software Proficiency
