Job Description

As a Hand Weaver at Artisan Textiles Co., you will be responsible for creating exquisite handwoven textiles using traditional techniques. This role involves selecting fibres, preparing threads, and maintaining weaving equipment to produce high-quality fabrics that align with specified designs. You will collaborate closely with our talented design team to bring innovative concepts to life while ensuring each piece meets our high standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new weaving patterns based on customer requests.
• Oversee the full production cycle, from material selection to final product.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive workflow.
• Conduct market research to identify trends in textile design and customer preferences.
• Participate in product exhibitions and trade shows to promote woven textiles.
• Provide feedback to the management team on production challenges and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and finished products.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Textile or Fiber Arts or related field

Experience

• Experience in marketing and selling handwoven products is advantageous.
