Job Description

As a Softball Umpire, you will officiate games and enforce the rules to ensure fair play. You must possess strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with players and coaches, creating a positive game atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the integrity of the game by making impartial decisions.
  • Resolve conflicts among players, coaches, and officials with professionalism.
  • Monitor player behavior to ensure sportsmanship.
  • Document incidents or disputes during games for future reference.
  • Implement safety protocols during games to protect all participants.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a culture of respect, integrity, and fairness.

Requirements

Education
  • Accreditation as a Softball Umpire is preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification is current
Experience
  • Experience working with children and youth teams is advantageous.
