Job Description

As a Welder, Cutter, Solderer, or Brazer at Metalworks Corp, you will operate welding and cutting equipment to join metal parts according to specifications. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in producing durable and reliable components.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and set up equipment according to specifications.
• Ensure the correct operation of welding and cutting tools.
• Monitor welding quality and troubleshoot any issues.
• Document production parameters and quality checks.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
• Train new team members on safe and effective welding practices.
• Support quality assurance processes and inspections.
• Continuously seek improvements in welding procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Trade certification in Welding or equivalent qualification

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in welding or metal fabrication preferred

Technical Skills

• MIG Welding
• TIG Welding
• Safety Compliance

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Welding Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Oxy-Acetylene Cutting: Knowledge of oxy-acetylene cutting techniques.
• Familiarity with Plasma Cutting: Experience working with plasma cutting technology.
