Job Description

As an Underground Mining Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining mining machinery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and collaborating with the mining team to maximise productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Control longwall mining machinery effectively to maximise production.
• Verify machine settings and performance metrics during operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure machine reliability.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Monitor coal dust and implement mitigation strategies.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety incidents immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work areas.

Requirements

Education

• Cert IV in Mining or related field

Experience

• 5 years experience operating mining machinery preferred.

Technical Skills

• Longwall Plow Operation
• Mechanical Troubleshooting

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent
