Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Insurance Appraiser focused on auto damage assessments. You will be responsible for evaluating the condition of vehicles, conducting detailed inspections, and providing accurate appraisals that support insurance claims and negotiations. We require someone with an extensive knowledge of automotive systems, who can stay current with market fluctuations. Excellent communication and report-writing skills will be critical, as you will present findings to clients and work closely with internal teams to enhance our service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicles on-site and document findings.
  • Research market data to ensure accurate appraisal values.
  • Provide expert advice regarding potential damages and restoration costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all appraisals and inspections conducted.
  • Work with insurance adjusters to facilitate the claims process.
  • Identify and report any potential fraudulent claims.
  • Mentor junior appraisers in field assessment techniques.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance appraisal skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in customer meetings to discuss valuations and findings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair costs and market trends.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational training in appraisal is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in auto appraisal or related fields
