Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabric and Apparel Patternmaker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate patterns for clothing designs, collaborating closely with designers to ensure that each garment fits perfectly and meets design specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adjust patterns considering fabric and garment weight.
• Liaise with the sampling team to produce accurate samples.
• Conduct fitting sessions and document necessary pattern adjustments.
• Stay informed about the latest materials and technologies in fashion.
• Undertake grading of patterns to various sizes efficiently.
• Ensure timely delivery of patterns to the production team.
• Support in the training of new team members in patternmaking techniques.
• Engage in continuous learning to foster professional development in fashion.
• Utilize patternmaking software to enhance productivity.

Requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Fashion Technology or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in apparel patternmaking

Technical Skills

• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Grading Patterns

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Fashion Technology Certification
• Sewing and Patternmaking Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with grading patterns: Ability to grade patterns accurately to various sizes.
• Experience in menswear and womenswear: Familiarity with designing patterns for menswear and womenswear.
