Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a strategic security program tailored for the museum.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of security staff.
  • Monitor access control systems and respond to alarms and incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Implement measures to protect against theft, vandalism, and trespass.
  • Foster an environment of safety through staff and visitor education.
  • Manage security budget and resources efficiently.
  • Coordinate with other departments to enhance overall museum security.
  • Create incident response protocols and train staff accordingly.
  • Conduct regular audits of security operations and facilities.
  • Promote a positive and secure experience for all visitors.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Security Operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is a plus.
Experience
  • Over 5 years of experience leading a security team in a museum or cultural institution.
