Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our team in Mackay. The successful candidate will provide expert tax advice and solutions to our clients, ensuring compliance and maximising tax benefits. The role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of current tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Review tax calculations and returns for accuracy.
• Provide strategic advice on tax implications for business operations.
• Assist clients with tax credits and deductions.
• Conduct workshops on tax awareness for clients.
• Maintain records of client interactions and tax filings.
• Support the team in achieving departmental goals.
• Facilitate communication between clients and tax authorities.
• Review financial statements and ensure tax compliance.
• Offer insights on tax efficiencies and optimisations.
• Provide assistance with international tax matters as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Postgraduate qualifications in tax or finance are advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant tax consultancy experience
