Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our vibrant team at Veterinary Care Australia in Kangaroo Point. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in veterinary medicine with a passion for animal welfare, providing excellent clinical services in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in animals.
• Perform routine and emergency surgeries with attention to detail.
• Work in tandem with veterinary nurses to provide exceptional care.
• Educate clients on preventative health care and pet wellness.
• Monitor anaesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Review and maintain medical records and treatment plans.
• Engage in the training and mentoring of junior veterinary staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery is desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical practice with a focus on surgery.
