Responsibilities

• Utilize both manual and automated cutting tools to create high-quality rugs.
• Inspect raw materials closely to identify suitable fabrics.
• Work alongside designers to understand specific requirements and style choices.
• Adhere to production schedules and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed while operating machinery.
• Document cutting processes and maintain records for quality assurance.
• Mentor apprentices and less experienced cutters to improve team skills.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in custom rug cutting is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in rug cutting with a focus on custom designs
