Drafting Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings for projects in various industries including construction, engineering, and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise engineering drawings as per project specifications.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure alignment of project requirements.
• Manage the documentation of technical specifications and drawing revisions.
• Conduct surveys and site inspections to enhance drawing accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during project preparation.
• Utilize 3D modelling software to enhance drafting capabilities.
• Prepare reports and documentation as needed for project stakeholders.
• Train junior drafting staff on project requirements and company standards.
• Champion best practices in drafting processes and project management.
• Assist in the development of project scopes and timelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in drafting with a focus on engineering projects.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in 3D modelling software: Hands-on experience with software for creating three-dimensional representations of designs.
