Job Description

The Animal Anatomist will conduct cutting-edge research, provide teaching in anatomy and physiology, and engage with various species including mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish. This role involves collaboration with a dynamic team to enhance our understanding of animal biology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct anatomical studies involving dissection and advanced imaging techniques.
  • Mentor junior staff and laboratory assistants in techniques and safety protocols.
  • Manage laboratory resources effectively, including animal welfare and equipment usage.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods and software applications.
  • Lead workshops and presentations to disseminate findings to the wider community.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to assess the impact of anatomical research on animal health.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science, Biology, or a related field
  • PhD in Anatomy or Physiology preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in research and education within the veterinary domain
