Job Description

The State Board of Nursing is looking for an experienced Educational Consultant to provide expert guidance in the development and evaluation of nursing education programmes. This role will involve collaborating with various educational institutions and stakeholders to ensure compliance with state regulations and industry standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of nursing education across New South Wales.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance nursing education curricula to ensure compliance with statutory standards.
• Guide institutions in creating innovative nursing courses and educational practices.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of nursing education quality.
• Design and implement training for nursing staff on emerging educational trends.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to establish nursing education protocols.
• Ensure nursing programs reflect current healthcare trends and best practices.
• Mentor nursing educators to improve teaching methodologies.
• Gather data on program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Act as a resource for nursing schools on accreditation and regulatory issues.
• Promote integration of technology in nursing education processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent (required)
• Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in nursing education, focusing on curriculum improvement and evaluation
