Join our vibrant team as a Recreation Worker, where you will facilitate recreational activities that promote social interaction and well-being among our residents. This position involves creative input and a passion for enhancing life experiences for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate group activities and outings.
• Assist residents in developing and maintaining social connections.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of programs.
• Support clients in achieving their recreational goals and preferences.
• Promote a culture of safety and respect among participants.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make suggestions for improvement.
• Assist in the administration of assessment tools for client engagement.
• Provide training and support to volunteers assisting in recreational activities.
• Help organize special events and celebrations for residents.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualification in Recreation Management, or another related field preferred
• Certifications in First Aid and CPR are essential

Experience

• Experience working with elderly individuals preferred.

• Microsoft Office Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.: Understanding of safety protocols in recreational activities.
