Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to oversee legal matters at our Bendigo office. In this role, you will provide legal support on various corporate transactions, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and offer guidance on legal strategies. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise on new legal developments affecting the firm's operations.
• Act as a point of contact for all legal queries from internal teams.
• Support business negotiations with comprehensive legal insights.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Oversee the implementation of legal policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless legal support.
• Participate in industry forums to stay informed on legal trends.
• Prepare and present legal training sessions for staff.

Requirements

Education

• Recognized legal qualifications, such as LLB or JD
• Postgraduate qualification in Law is an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience as Legal Counsel in a corporate setting
