Slug Press Operator

Job Description

The Slug Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the slug press machines to produce high-quality metal slugs for use in various industries. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that production schedules are met and that quality standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slug press machines for optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot machinery to ensure functionality.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure standards are met.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in metalworking or related field

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in metalworking or related field.

Technical Skills

• Experience operating metalworking machinery
• Attention to detail
• Technical drawing reading
• Troubleshooting skills

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with slug press machines or similar machinery: Practical knowledge of setting up and operating slug presses.
• 3D modeling and design experience: Familiarity with CAD software and design processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing supervisory role: Background in overseeing production teams and schedules.
