Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced First-Line Supervisor for our mechanics and repair teams. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operations within the repair shop, leading a team dedicated to high-quality service delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of the mechanics and repair team.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by managing service quality.
  • Organize training sessions to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure the garage maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Manage scheduling of tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and service activities.
  • Be proactive in identifying areas for improvement within the team.
  • Report on operational issues and suggest solutions to management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align operations with overall business goals.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory position within an automotive setting
Technical Skills
  • Expertise in automotive systems
  • Familiarity with workshop management software
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • ASE Certification: Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations: Understanding of the regulatory requirements in the automotive industry.
