We are searching for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Care Group in Sunshine Coast. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing medical care and assistance to a variety of animals. You will be involved in clinical procedures, managing patient records, and liaising with pet owners to ensure the best care possible for their beloved companions.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in surgical procedures.
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist with anaesthesia.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and assist in treatment plans.
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
• Offer compassionate care to animals in distress.
• Keep detailed medical records and manage inventory.
• Provide education to pet owners about animal health.
• Assist in the training of new staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic

Advantageous

• Experience with anaesthesia monitoring: Familiarity with techniques and equipment for safely monitoring anaesthesia.
