Job Description

A Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) is responsible for assisting in teaching and grading undergraduate courses. This role requires a strong knowledge of the subject matter and the ability to communicate it effectively to students. As a GSI, you will foster a positive learning environment and engage with students to enhance their academic experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Course Coordinator in course design and delivery
• Lead tutorials and workshops, facilitating discussions
• Evaluate student assessments and provide constructive feedback
• Communicate regularly with faculty and students
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Engage with diverse student populations

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant field
• Currently enrolled in a graduate program

Experience

• Experience in teaching or tutoring preferred

Technical Skills

• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with online teaching tools and platforms: Familiarity with various online educational tools for remote learning.
