Job Description

As a Custom Ski Maker, you will be the creative force behind high-performance skis tailored to meet the unique specifications of each client. Your role involves collaborating with customers, selecting materials, and utilising woodworking tools to craft skis that not only meet but exceed expectations. This position not only allows you to showcase your craftsmanship but also to engage with the skiing community, creating products that enhance their experience on the slopes.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to gather and interpret their ski specifications.
• Produce prototypes and test designs for performance and quality.
• Assist in the research and selection of sustainable materials.
• Mentor junior ski makers in techniques and best practices.
• Contribute to the design of innovative ski models.
• Track production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency.
• Participate in industry events and exhibitions to promote products.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to meet customer demands.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Diploma in Industrial Design is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ski manufacturing or related field.
