Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician to produce high-quality contact lenses. The successful candidate will operate and maintain contact lens lathes and perform quality control inspections, ensuring accuracy and excellence in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate machinery for optimal operation.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and best practices.
• Document production metrics for quality assessment.
• Identify improvement opportunities in the production process.
• Work closely with Quality Control team to ensure high standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and team morale.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Manufacturing (Contact Lens)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating contact lens lathes

Languages
