Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to diverse learner needs.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting lessons as necessary.
  • Encourage and support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for parents and caregivers.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Implement school-wide initiatives that support students with additional needs.
  • Foster collaboration among teaching staff to share best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Postgraduate degree in Special Education is advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years working specifically with children with autism or emotional disorders.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of AAC devices
  • Behavioral intervention strategies

Advantageous

  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Hands-on experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices: Understanding strategies to support children who have experienced trauma.
