Aircraft Mechanic - Landing Gear Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic specializing in landing gear systems. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of landing gear maintenance, along with the capability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of landing gear systems.
• Document maintenance activities and prepare reports for management.
• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Provide technical support to other team members regarding landing gear issues.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Participate in training programs for safety and skill enhancement.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical)
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus

Experience

• Experience in heavy aircraft maintenance is highly regarded.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Proficiency in using maintenance software

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Critical thinking

Certifications

• Current safety certifications

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Boeing and Airbus aircraft: Direct experience with maintenance on Boeing and/or Airbus models.
• Experience with pneumatic systems: Hands-on experience with landing gear pneumatic systems.
