We are seeking an experienced IRS Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing tax laws, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing guidance to taxpayers. Your expertise will be crucial in investigating tax returns, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Audit tax returns and financial statements to identify discrepancies.
  • Review case files and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform field audits at business locations.
  • Engage with taxpayers to resolve issues and disputes.
  • Prepare documentation for legal proceedings related to tax enforcement.
  • Educate taxpayers about their rights and responsibilities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient tax compliance.
  • Utilize IT systems to manage audit processes and records.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Completion of the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE)
  • Analytical skills Expertise in conducting detailed financial analysis.
  • Tax law knowledge Thorough understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with taxpayers.
  • Problem-solving Capability in resolving compliance issues effectively.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous
  • English (Fluent)

  • Prior experience working for the Australian Taxation Office (ATO): Experience with tax compliance and enforcement in an official capacity.
