Special Education Teacher

Job Description

We are in search of a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher who will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing tailored educational strategies for students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with educational staff and parents to create an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
• Utilise technology to enhance learning opportunities for students.
• Incorporate feedback from assessments to improve instructional practices.
• Organise and conduct training sessions for parents and caregivers on supporting children at home.
• Develop and implement strategies for crisis prevention and management.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to student services and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a focus on Special Education
• Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field is advantageous

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years working directly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Languages

• English: Fluent
