Job Description

As a Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining grinding, lapping, polishing, and buffing machines. You will ensure that gears are finished to exact specifications and quality standards while collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training new operators on proper machinery operation.
• Monitor production metrics and report on output and quality.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot production issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• TAFE Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in gear finishing

Technical Skills

• Experience with CNC machines
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in working with various types of gears and materials: Familiarity with different gear types to optimize production processes.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for finishing equipment: Ability to perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
