Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks on heavy equipment in the field.
• Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults in machinery.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working.
• Assist in training junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve service goals.
• Monitor and report on equipment performance and issues.
• Utilize hand and diagnostic tools proficiently.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through quality service.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Australian driver's license

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy machinery maintenance and repair

Technical Skills

• Welding and fabrication
• Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment: Hands-on experience with leading brands ensuring high-quality maintenance.
• Understanding of safety regulations: Knowledge of and compliance with industry safety standards.
