Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Iron Erector to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of iron structures in various construction projects. A solid background in welding and fabrication is essential, along with the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Locate and position steel beams, columns, and other components.
• Bolt steel components together using hand and power tools.
• Install metal decking, siding, and roofing materials.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in relevant field
• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years in the construction or metal fabrication industry.

Technical Skills

• Blueprint Reading
• Fabrication Techniques

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Safety Training Certificate (OH&S White Card)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Experience: Background in managing smaller projects is beneficial.
