Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Wollongong. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in chemical processes and will play a key role in the development, optimization, and implementation of chemical production processes. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure product quality and compliance with safety regulations while contributing to innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines and deliverables for process optimization projects.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop training materials for team members on new processes.
• Interface with suppliers to source materials and chemicals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage budgets for process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Master's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in process engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Project Management
• Chemical Process Simulation Software

Certifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent
