Job Description

As an Occupational Therapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting occupational therapists in providing rehabilitation services to patients who are disabled, injured, or ill. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with therapeutic exercises, preparing treatment areas, and interacting with patients to enhance their recovery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support therapists in assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans.
  • Organize and maintain therapy supplies and equipment.
  • Foster a supportive environment for patients and encourage participation.
  • Engage with patients to motivate them towards achieving their rehabilitation goals.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as scheduling patient appointments.
  • Monitor and record patient responses to therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care.
  • Provide feedback on patient progress and effectiveness of therapy.
  • Help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across therapy settings.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate in Allied Health Assistance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
Experience
  • Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is an advantage.
