Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating reheat furnaces to process steel slabs. Your expertise will ensure that slabs are heated to the precise temperatures required for further processing. This role requires diligence in monitoring, maintenance, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the reheat furnace operates efficiently and safely.
• Adjust furnace settings to achieve the desired heat treatment for each batch of metal.
• Record and report production data and any issues to the Production Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness in the furnace area.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the furnace and related equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in the steel industry is preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a furnace operator
