Responsibilities

• Create accurate illustrations using various media, including pen and ink, watercolour, and digital tools.
• Work closely with researchers to ensure illustrations meet scientific standards.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to come up with innovative illustration concepts.
• Update existing illustrations based on feedback from supervisors.
• Manage the workflow for upcoming projects to streamline the illustration process.
• Provide training to junior illustrators on best practices and techniques.
• Document all work processes to maintain consistency across different projects.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for producing high-quality illustrations.
• Contribute to creating educational materials and presentations.
• Handle administrative tasks related to project management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Illustration or related field
• Certification by the Board of Certification of Medical Illustrators (BCMI) is advantageous but not required.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical illustration or related field.

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
