Job Description

As a Cut Off Sawyer, you will operate saw equipment to cut wood materials to precise measurements. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in processing wood and will be skilled in using various tools with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust cutting machines according to specifications.
• Ensure precision in cutting dimensions by measuring and marking materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on the saw and other equipment.
• Record production output and material usage.
• Train new staff on safety practices and equipment operation.
• Participate in safety meetings and adherence to safety policies.
• Review and implement quality control processes.

Requirements

Education

• Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
• Trade qualification in woodworking is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in saw operation or woodworking.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience with CNC machines: Experience operating CNC wood cutting machines is an advantage.
