We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our esteemed team in Toowoomba. As a Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mineral extraction strategies while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Your expertise will contribute to driving efficiency and sustainability in our operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the mining project lifecycle from exploration to production.
• Undertake geological surveys to inform mining operations.
• Monitor drilling and excavation processes to ensure adherence to standards.
• Provide technical guidance for the selection of mining equipment.
• Liaise with government agencies and stakeholders regarding permits and compliance.
• Assess environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate mining operations for efficiency and productivity improvements.
• Lead safety audits and training sessions for all mining staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geology
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining engineering

Certifications

• Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification
