Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team in Launceston. In this role, you will assess and treat patients with movement disorders, developing customized rehabilitation plans. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions.
  • Design and adjust treatment plans to meet individual patient goals.
  • Administer physical therapy interventions including manual therapy and modalities.
  • Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients.
  • Integrate new therapy techniques and modalities into practice.
  • Collaborate on interprofessional care teams for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Guide patients in understanding their conditions and recovery plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students.
  • Contribute to research and development projects as applicable.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
  • Additional certifications in specialties such as sports or pediatrics is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of practice in physical therapy
