Job Description

As a First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers, you'll take on a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our alumina plant. You'll lead a team of operators, ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement training as required.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
• Assess staff performance, offering feedback and development opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Encourage a culture of safety and compliance among team members.
• Lead team meetings to discuss production goals and strategies.
• Ensure effective communication between all levels of staff.

Advantageous

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies knowledge: Certification or training in Lean or Six Sigma processes.
• Proficiency in manufacturing software: Experience with software tools related to production management (e.g., SCADA, MES).
