Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Specialist to manage and oversee traffic flow around construction sites in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing traffic control measures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate efficient traffic management.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee traffic control plans for construction sites.
  • Collaborate with local authorities on traffic management strategies.
  • Maintain communication with team members throughout work shifts.
  • Evaluate traffic control effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Document and report on traffic incidents and control measures.
  • Provide guidance to drivers and pedestrians to ensure safety.
  • Assist with setting up road closures and detours as needed.
  • Conduct safety briefings for traffic control team members.
  • Ensure that all equipment used is in good condition and compliant.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with traffic management standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (Traffic Control)
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a traffic control environment.
