Job Description
Join our team as a Surgical Critical Care Physician Assistant. In this critical role, you will assist in surgical procedures, monitor patient conditions, and provide education and support to patients and their families during their care journey.
Responsibilities
Lead patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring all steps are followed.
Perform essential assessments and document findings accurately.
Administer emergency treatments when required and assist in resuscitation efforts.
Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate care with primary physicians.
Contribute to team meetings and discuss patient management strategies.
Conduct training sessions for junior staff and new hires.
Review and improve care protocols for better surgical outcomes.
Assist in research initiatives and clinical trials when applicable.
Requirements
Education
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New South Wales
Experience
2-5 years of experience in surgical or critical care preferred
