Outside Plant Cable Engineer

Job Description

As an Outside Plant Cable Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, plan, and implement outside plant cable systems, ensuring all installations are conducted to the highest industry standards. You will also maintain existing systems and provide technical support to both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and planning of telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed cost estimates for new installations.
• Supervise construction crews to ensure quality work is completed on time and within budget.
• Perform quality control checks on all network installations.
• Assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all work conducted.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of different systems.
• Lead training sessions for junior engineers and technicians.
• Implement strategies to enhance project management efficiency.
• Actively participate in planning and budgeting discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecom Engineering
• Advanced certifications in Telecommunications would be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in telecommunications infrastructure design and installation
