Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Towboat Pilot who can expertly navigate vessels used to transport goods along inland waterways. You will be responsible for ensuring safe passage, managing crew duties, and adhering to maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the navigation of towboats on inland waterways.
• Communicate effectively with other marine units for safe navigation.
• Assess environmental conditions and adapt navigation plans.
• Oversee cargo handling and maintenance practices.
• Conduct safety drills and ensure crew readiness.
• Utilize GPS and navigation software to improve route efficiency.
• Document operational activities and incidents as required.
• Collaborate with the Marine Operations Manager for strategic planning.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant maritime qualifications

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the maritime industry
