Job Description

The Tax Specialist will manage all tax-related activities, preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with laws, and advising management on tax issues. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong understanding of taxation regulations and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• File and prepare diverse tax returns for various entities.
• Ensure adherence to national and state tax legislation.
• Provide managerial advice on tax strategies for optimisation.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting taxation.
• Liaise with clients regarding tax obligations and compliance.
• Engage in quality control for tax documentation processes.
• Collaborate with peers on complex tax issues.
• Prepare for and assist with tax audits as required.
• Contribute to tax-related project initiatives.
• Advocate for compliance improvements and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years in taxation or accounting

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

Languages
