Job Description

As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in responding swiftly to emergency calls and delivering life-saving medical assistance. Your skills will be critical in assessing patient conditions and providing immediate treatments until advanced care arrives.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency medical situations within jurisdiction.
  • Perform patient assessments and deliver appropriate interventions.
  • Work with paramedics and other healthcare professionals for smooth patient transitions.
  • Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately.
  • Ensure the ambulance and medical equipment are maintained and ready for use.
  • Engage in community health education programs as required.
  • Participate in after-action reviews and training workshops.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members when necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of a Paramedic Science degree is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of emergency protocols
  • Ability to use emergency medical devices

Certifications
  • AHPRA Registration
