Responsibilities

• Examine and assess the health of animals.
• Perform corrective surgeries and emergency procedures.
• Guide clients on animal health and nutrition.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
• Oversee and mentor junior veterinary staff.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Conduct preventative care consultations for pet owners.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Specialty certification is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years experience in companion animal medicine

Technical Skills

• Emergency Medicine
• Animal Behaviour

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Advanced Veterinary Practitioner (AVP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong leadership skills: Experience in mentoring new vets and students.
• Advanced techniques in animal rehabilitation: Knowledge of physiotherapy and recovery practices for animals.
