Job Description

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide specialized nursing care to individuals with mental health disorders. Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, you will develop comprehensive treatment plans while delivering counseling and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Lead psychiatric assessments for patients with complex needs.
• Formulate and execute individualized treatment approaches.
• Ensure high-quality therapeutic interactions with clients.
• Oversee medication plans, adjusting as necessary.
• Foster collaborative relationships with healthcare peers.
• Ensure detailed documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional learning.
• Support community mental health education and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Relevant certification from ACMHN

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in psychiatric nursing
