Job Description

We are on the lookout for experienced Medical Transcriptionists to join our remote team. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology. Your role will involve transcribing audio recordings from healthcare professionals into accurate written documents.

Responsibilities

• Convert dictated medical reports into written documents with precision.
• Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Gather patient information from various sources to support transcription tasks.
• Utilize transcription software and maintain equipment effectively.
• Assist in training new transcriptionists when necessary.
• Document any discrepancies or issues in patient files.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Medical Transcription or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of medical transcription experience

Technical Skills

• Audio Typing
• Microsoft Office Suite

• Communication Skills
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with medical coding systems: Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems for medical records.
• Experience with speech recognition software: Ability to work with voice-to-text technology for enhanced transcription.
