Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Japanese Professor who will bring their expertise in Japanese language, literature, and culture to our institution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and research, developing engaging course materials, and mentoring students in their academic pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead seminars focused on Japanese literature and cultural discussions.
  • Create innovative lesson plans and assess student performance.
  • Oversee student research and thesis projects.
  • Engage in ongoing research initiatives in Japanese studies.
  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote Japanese culture.
  • Conduct student evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Organize field trips and immersive learning experiences.
  • Curate resources for student learning and research.
  • Represent the department at academic conventions.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in a Related Field is desirable
