We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Refuse and Recyclable Material Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and disposal of waste materials from designated areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform regular waste collection from assigned routes.
  • Sort recyclable materials for responsible disposal.
  • Load and secure waste containers onto the collection truck.
  • Maintain safe operations of collection vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Keep clear communication with other team members and supervisors.
  • Deliver quality customer service when interacting with clients.
  • Assist in training new team members as required.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues with vehicles.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical fitness Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Driving Valid driver's license required for operating collection vehicles.
  • Communication Effective verbal communication with clients and team members.
  • Teamwork Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Time management Ability to manage time effectively to meet collection schedules.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred
  • English (Fluent)

  • Experience operating heavy vehicles: Familiarity with the operation of larger collection vehicles.
  • Knowledge of waste management practices: Understanding of proper waste handling and recycling processes.
